Ms. Ames received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL. She also received a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. As band director at Park Campus since the school's inception, Ms. Ames has overseen the establishment and growth of the program. Furthermore, Ms. she is an active teacher, performer, clinician, adjudicator, and piano accompanist in the Chicagoland area. Ms. Ames has also previously served as the Assistant Marching Band Director, Assistant Jazz Choir Director and Accompanist at Grayslake Central High School in Grayslake, IL. She has traveled with hundreds of student musicians both nationally and internationally. Professional affiliations include the Illinois Music Education Association, the Illinois Grade School Music Association, the National Band Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota, a professional women's fraternity for musicians. Ms. Ames is also currently the Fine Arts District Coordinator for Music at Community Consolidated School District 46 and an Adjunct Professor at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago
Ms. Huber has been teaching general music and band for over 20 years in the public schools. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Illinois State University and her Master's Degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. In addition to teaching 6th grade band at Park West, she has a private music studio where she teaches numerous instruments to students from 3rd grade through 11th grades.
Ms. Huber continues to play flute in the North Suburban Wind Ensemble (http://www.northsuburbanwindensemble.com) which is a 70 member band that plays high level music. They perform 3 concerts a year based in Libertyville and Vernon Hills.
